New Head of Campaigns for BMT
BMT has appointed Richard Westgarth as Head of Campaigns a key member of the company’s strategic leadership team.
Richard will report directly into BMT’s Capability & Strategy Director, Guy Tomlinson and his role will be centred upon the shaping of campaigns which align to the BMT strategy, ensuring that the campaigns are focused on delivering the future growth aspirations of the company.
Guy Tomlinson comments: “I’m delighted to welcome Richard to BMT. He is a timely addition to providing strategic thought leadership for our growth campaigns, bringing a wealth of experience, knowledge and notable network together.”
Richard’s key responsibilities will include actively contributing to the strategic direction of the campaigns and the development of the marketing and sales strategies. He will help to promote BMT’s position in key growth areas such as: digital transformation; autonomy and climate science, to name but a few.
Richard comments: “I’m really excited to be a part of BMT and to help shape the journey for the growth agenda. I’m looking forward to the challenge and getting to work with some fantastic people across the company.”
A co-author of the Global Marine Technology Trends 2030, Richard is currently looking at the impact the fourth industrial revolution will have on the maritime sector. He is a Chartered Electronics Engineer, a Member of the IET, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects and a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufacture and Commerce.
